Contest Instructions
Eligibility:
Contest is open to anyone who has a Facebook account. Employees of the The Daily Item as well as immediate family members are not eligible to win.
Contest Period:
Contest will begin on October 19, 2011 and ends Saturday, November 20, 2011.
How to Enter:
Enter The Daily Item’s Facebook contest by submitting your best-dressed Halloween photo on The Daily Item’s fan page. Submission period starts October 19, 2011 and ends Friday, November 5, 2011. By submitting this information, The Daily Item reserves the right to use this photo and name in any products of The Daily Item as well as on its website. There is no fee to enter, only one entry per Facebook account.
Voting and Rules: The voting period begins 12:01 a.m. Monday, November 6, 2011 and will end at 11:00p.m. on November 20, 2011. Votes may be made on The Daily Item’s Facebook page during the voting period. Voting is open to Facebook account holders and there is no fee to vote. Only one vote per person, per photo. Use of voting exchange sites are prohibited will lead to disqualification. The Daily Item reserves the right to disqualify any entries by persons determined to be tampering with or abusing any aspect of the contest.
Winner Determination:
The total number of votes received will determine Winners. In the event of a tie, The Daily Item will randomly pick the winner from the tied entries. Winners will be announced November 21, 2011 on Facebook.
Prizes:
First and second place winners will receive a $50.00 gift certificate to Garfield’s restaurant at the Susquehanna Valley Mall, and published on The Daily Item’s Facebook wall. Third thru Six place will receive a $25.00 Garfield’s gift certificate.
Participation: By participating in the 2011 Halloween Contest, entrants are bound to the official rules and regulations. The Daily Item reserves the right to disqualify any persons tampering with or abusing the contest. In the event this contest is compromised by any non-authorized human intervention, tampering or other cause beyond the control of The Daily Item, The Daily Item reserves the right to suspend, modify, or terminate the 2011 Halloween Contest. Should the contest be terminated prior to the expiration date, The Daily Item reserves the right to award prizes based on the entries received before the termination date. The Daily Item reserves the right to make all decisions regarding the selection of winners and all other aspects of the contest.
The Daily Item and Garfield’s restaurant are the sponsors of the 2011 Halloween Contest.
Prize Eligibility
Only persons residing in United States who are at least 13 years of age can enter.
