BISBEE WEEKEND:
Win a free night stay at the historic Copper Queen Hotel in any of their Specialty Rooms*, (ie, Lily Langtry, Teddy Roosevelt, or John Wayne Room). Winner will receive a $100 credit to spend at Angela’s Restaurant (breakfast, lunch, or dinner) or at the Copper Queen Saloon at any time during your stay. Grand Prize will be awarded in a random drawing of all eligible entries held on November 11, 2011. Winner need not be present to win. We will notify the winner by email or certified mail within seven business days of the drawing. No transfer or substitution of prize is allowed. If the prize is not claimed within seven business days of notification, or if winner does not meet eligibility criteria, an alternate winner will be selected. Limited to availability. The first 50 eligible entries received by November 9, 2011 will be awarded a “Happy Hippie” t-shirt. T-shirts will be mailed to winners as entries are received. Allow three weeks for delivery by mail.
Contest Instructions
Are you a Happy Hippie? Tucson Orthopaedic Institute is looking for hip replacement patients with a story to tell. If you have had one or more hip joints replaced and feel inspired to share how the procedure changed your life, read on.
So many hip replacement patients have “really boss” or “far out” stories to tell about their procedure and outcomes, and yet the media focuses mostly on isolated negative outcomes. If you want to shed some light for others about the fab bright side of hip replacement, then join the Happy Hippies. Tell us what you can do with your new souped-up hip. Let us know if you set off alarms at airports. Share your physician experience and righteous recovery tales. Brag about your accomplishments, new hobbies, or how you “hang loose” post-hip replacement. It’s your story, we know its hip, we want to hear it.
Remember before you offer your story, you will need to give us permission to share any personal health information you include in it — our way of protecting your privacy but getting first dibs on what you decide to share.
Sharing your struggles as well as succeses may help others with hip pain or those caring for loved ones with hip pain. Individuals with hip pain are looking for information about real people who have been through a life changing hip procedure. Power to the People: your story could encourage others with hip pain to be proactive, seek medical advice, or just lessen the stress of their situation. And you just may jazz some non-Hippies too.
