Hello, everybody!

As you know I have a personal blog. Since I started writing about a very popular tv historical series in my country, some people have been copy/pasting the articles from my blog, on their Facebook pages, without my permission and without mentioning the source link. However they stole content from other FB pages too and from a well known site.

I reported one of their posts to FB, but nothing happened.
One of the admins started harassing me, insulting me in their comments!! They, who stole my work, have a big mouth!

What else can I do, except reporting the pages to FB, action that has been unsuccessful so far?

Please, help me somehow, it's not fair for the Facebook too to gain traffic and likes due to stolen content!

Maybe report them to the copyright office of whatever country they are from?

I can't say I have a legal copyright for my articles (meaning an official paper certifying that I am the author of my blog articles). The legal copyright is difficult to get here, and it's extremely expensive too. I really doubt somebody would give me official copyright certificate for a blog.

What about a creative commons copyright? They are a free organization that copyrights works for people. I know it's for art, because it's on the site that I use, but it may cover other "expressive" types of work, like writings, possibly.

Maybe from now on at the end of your posts say the work is copyright to you, etc. It's not a legal documentation, but if you state it, it can help.

I have heard about them. And it means that if someone copies content from my blog, they can help me?

You'd have to look into it more. I don't know how far, legally, the creative commons can go or if it covers articles. If they do though, I would figure out how to apply it to the blog. I don't know who you would contact when you see someone has stolen your work and calling it their own though.

But how could I manage to close those FB pages (there are about 4 or 5 FB pages that steal content from my blog, and not only from mine)? I reported those posts to Facebook but they didn't do anything at all, in spite of the fact that under one of the posts there are about 15 comments with insults to me!

Did you try reporting the page/person rather than the post?

No, Trex, I reported the posts with the copied content of my blog (the summaries of the episodes of a popular tv series).

Today I've found out about DMCA complaint: http://www.dmca.com/
I'll try to solve the problem by talking to all the admins first (I am copied by more sites and fb pages than I initially thought), and if it won't work, then I'll use a dmca complaint.

I once had one person from GRV that was slandering a bunch of us on FB from over there and a couple of us from here too and I reported HER not the posts and they banned her, though I am sure she had a plethora of fake accounts too.

Good luck with it.

Trex, I don't know the personal accounts of the admins. The page that harassed me has more admins and they all sign in with the page's name.

Anyway, I am still digging on the net about info in these cases Stealing content from my blog Devil

unfortunatly you can only report them, maybe if several persons report them, Facebool will close their account or page faster
good luck

Thank you for your answers smile
I have learned a lot since I opened this topic. There are many things and places you can report a copyright infringement, but first I have to contact the admins and try to solve the problem between us. I wasn't successful in 2 cases, so I'll report to Facebook - a helpful blogger gave me the link of that complaint form, and to Google because I want their post to not appear in the google searches anymore.
